This Privacy Policy describes how and when Nature-3B, a project funded by the EU’s Horizon Research and Innovation Programme, collects, uses, and shares your information when you use the nature-3b.eu website.
The website is provided by the Nature-3B Consortium, coordinated by the University College Dublin. When using the website you consent to the collection, storage, processing and utilization of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

The lawful basis for processing your data
The lawful basis for processing your personal data is found in the GDPR (Article 6). We are required to identify which of the allowable legal basis we use to process your data. We do not process any special category data as described in Article 9 of the GDPR.
General communications between organisations and individuals
If we have identified you, and / or your organisation as being potential partners or collaborators we will process your information under Article 6.1.f – Legitimate Interest. Legitimate interest means that we process your personal data in a way that is lawful and legitimate to advance the objectives of our organisation. We have assessed that our legitimate interests do not outweigh or infringe your own rights and freedoms.
Data Storage and Security
We follow strict security procedures to ensure that your personal information is not damaged, destroyed, or disclosed to a third party without your permission and to prevent unauthorised access. We store both physical and electronic records. We have put in place technical and organisational measures to ensure our physical security as well as technical measures for data backup, authorisation and authentication onto systems. We use secure firewalls and other measures to restrict electronic access, including anti-virus and anti-malware measures. If the data must be transferred to a third party, we require them to have in place similar measures to protect your personal data. We have a process in place to mitigate the impact of any data breach that should occur.
Automated decision making
We do not use automated decision making to process personal data nor does it undertake profiling which produces any legal effect on you as a data subject.
